Qestionable construction – PHILIP THOMPSON – DECATUR, AL, US
I have the DVR-850-Y for Christmas in anticipation of our trip to the Cayman Islands in March. On the surface, the camera just like any other, light weight, good screen, easy controls. The battery compartment is located behind the spine of the device and is operated by an access of small black tab, more difficult. However, I was excited. My wife and I had planned several snorkeling excursions, an afternoon in the bay with Sting Rays, a tour of the bioluminescent bay, all of which are recorded on thisCamera. The first time I entered the water, I was filming a school of jack and the screen went black. It would not be back, and I do not know what they think. The closed nature of the battery and sure, and I had the device calculates the previous night. I returned to the dock and swam a little hope it will dry out and maybe we could, it could free the mind of the battery needs a boost, but it would not be responsible . In the night I opened the battery compartment and SD, to see ifall I had was taken, can be removed from the hard drive. It was wet, I pulled the battery from the case and it was too wet. The camera is virtually destroyed. I am glad that others have some success with this product, but not in my case, I would not recommend it to others.

I recently ordered the camera, and there is nothing like I expected. The lighting is aweful, and the screen looks to me almost to the opposite side. In addition, it freezes .. I wish I'd known before I took it out of the box! At least I could receive a full refund!

I bought the camera because I am too .. The first time he touched the water that leaked to the "waterproof" seal of love and snorkeling it no longer works. I called the company that was in bad taste, I lost all my recordings of whale shark snorkel with them. If you keep your memories, do not buy this produst.
