Fun camera….but needs improvement – Mesquite Kevin – Mesquite, TX
I had this camera for about 6 months. Its small size makes it very portable. It just fits in my camera bag with other accessories. The battery life is very good. I can do this for several days use on-again, off-again shooting without worrying about the battery. I like the functionality of the camera waterproof. My son loves swimming, so we can take with us. I recommend dry-run the camera all the way wet, because the strap holds water.
My onlyComplaint with this device is to stabilize "image". Unless you are so mounted on a tripod, your movie has a lot to shake. I've used other video cameras with this feature and can tell when this function works, but it almost looks like a camera stabilization is not available. When the device is not waterproof, so I would be exchanged against a different model years ago. However, as this portable and easy to use around the pool, I am satisfiedwith my purchase.

My problem is when I'm on a pond and I am happy to use it and take a video of my nephew, I check all the coverage, etc,,,
Then, after checking all joints, so I'm going to the pool and then shoot, I soaked in water over 12 inches, but after that I bear in the water! that no longer works! the screen goes black and I prefer …. Water drips …Water is inside the unit … I am a little confused! the camera is already broken …
shame …. really bad … my relaxing vacation turns into a worse ..
Then I dried the camera and I'll take Sanyo Service Center …
they will not accept nor guarantee … the service center said that the user is negligence! WOW! And they will pay me compensation!
The sad thing is, if the device has been repaired I can not useunder water-based Sanyo Service Center!

Too bad I did not buy again through this problem, Sanyo Camera! My unit is already in the service center …

I bought the camera might think it is a good choice for your videos regularly and if my wife throws him into the pool she would survive. Unfortunately, he never saw the pool.
The video quality on the unit I received was terrible. It was incredibly pixelated. I tried different conditions of shooting with different levels of light. I am also interested in the movie on an HD TV with standard cable that was sent and an HDMI cable. It was horrible.
The autofocus is alsobad on this device. Sadly, as I had hoped that this would be an ideal camcorder for the family but it was not. The video on my $ 100 Canon point and shoot was better than today. It will be returned.
