Marvelous camera – Skylaw –
This model has been replaced by new ones, but I found the quality of both movies and photos of beautiful. Transfer video in high definition software on my Mac was easy (the camera is one of relatively few, FireWire, IEEE 1394 or iLink – all the same – the production, requires that software HD), and results are excellent. Although I do not have high definition DVD recorders, have been the quality of standard DVDs that I burned from the HD source completelygreat.
The built-in microphones are good. I have a small concert by my brother, an organist, was wonderful with the camera – the sound. Yes, a studio could have done better – but I had everything I needed in my palm.
NOT a pro camcorder – pubs76 – Dallas, TX, USA
First, let me say that this is not a professional camcorder!
However, it is one of the best investments I made for Making Memories. I made use of HDR-HC1 for about a year and moderately, and were very satisfied with the results.
Advantages: Large photo 1.
2nd Very easily. Your arm is not tired.
3rd Easy to use. Just strip and you're ready.
4th Easy connection to your MacBook. Plug and play.
Cons. 1st Need more zoom.
Built in the 2nd microphone nottoo.
3rd Autonomy reduced.
4th Small viewing angle.
There are few dropouts on the video, but I think it's because I'm "The cheapest tape I use can be found. However, I noticed a decline of 12-14 cartridges.
Good luck.
Almost perfect camera. – Allen C. Huffman – Des Moines, IA USA
After reading that this is the best "of the class, he was camcorderinfo. Com camcorder, and reading the reviews I could find, I bought it. Now I've had several months, a few comments: This is a great camera, HD is impressive, and it has lots of features. Nothing else that 1) AF complain is problematic, especially in low light conditions, and 2) the quality of low light is not as good as MJ 1999 Sony Digital8 was. Taping in night vision is nearly useless because it becomes unclearso easily.
I'm still far, look at the size of the imported video day blew my iMac. HDV is a pain on older computers (my iMac G5 1.8 Ghz has to import 2-4x, but my Core 2 Duo processor in real-time imports). Note, import into iMovie includes playback in HDV and converted to an intermediate format – the high-end applications can import and edit in real time, (the-fly conversion).
I love the camera – only a few complaints – but I'm still annoyed that Sony used a non-standardClaw. All my old Sony add-ons (infrared light, etc.) could not be applied to them. But the show has actively hot significant benefits (such as Bluetooth microphone that plugs and power and audio from the flash shoe – Nice).
