Would be great if Low-Light video was better – J. Thomas –
This camera seemed great films, one with a 20x optical zoom, HD, Motion, arguing that the super-power in low light conditions.
Reality: The behavior at low light is terrible! Horribly grainy, even in moderate light. Within the night, with normal lighting plus 3 ceiling lighting a lamp, the video is grainy and washed out. The video looks like the sample photo in their description of what should not look like it shows. This thing has a little Teeny TinySensor. There is no way this video could never good in low light or moderate. I bought this video for my first child soon-to-be-born, usually held indoors with normal lighting. To use it for this I need to invest in various industrial power halogen lamps and they all want to shed light on the baby at the same time enough for him.
Besides it takes a good video, assuming there is much light.
Time-lapse function seems impressivefirst, but it sucks the battery very quickly when it is plugged in. The screen should be kept open during the shoot, or turn off the camera. Why not a time-controlled system, which activates the camera only for a few seconds in a time that could significantly improve the battery life?
This camera is HD, but it is 1080 (i) … Interlaced and not 1080p. The name is misleading when he says he BACK 1080p playback … they do not come directly and say"Oh, by the way, it records in 1080i only." Very misleading.
This cam is not an HDMI cable (the most in this price class do not, either). It came with an RCA jack and a USB cable. This is an HD-Cam, why, oh why should I ever decide to use an RCA cable to watch? I can not even say if it takes decent video hi-def, because I did not connect properly to my HDTV. I returned the next day I bought it. I FH1a Sanyo place, ordered that a sensor has much larger, and it is now cheaper than the JVC! Whatever you do watch videos on YouTube showing demonstration videos, as actualle camcorder you buy before you buy.
These two stars you get to zoom and good for the movement. But this campaign is really 100% inside of nothing. I tested first in the interiorBest Buy, but they have this very bright overhead lights, so I do not know how this campaign is.

I barrowed this device to help a friend at a party record, and created a DVD of the event for them. To my surprise, the quality of video on a standard VHS tape. I thought the camera was HD at first, but later discovered was not. The logo on the hard disk of the camera is misleading. I have a Canon VIXIA HG20 and the difference between them is night and day. When I was in my lowest quality with the Canon HD20 folder, it is always better than the ultra fine mode, this JVC. The cameracomes with a small light, which is worth absolutely nothing if you're in a completely dark room. Moreover, the device makes light does not act as a flash, if you take if you have any pictures to make you better, you're in a well lit room. I guess you get what you pay, I am glade I have my Canon HD20. So if you are looking for good quality digital video, you do not do that to get with this unit.

Serious problem with “digital noise” – Cat Savage – Lake Zurich, IL United States
I bought the camera as a gift for my husband in July 2002. As new parents, we expect that we want a camcorder to record important moments in our childhood and children's age toddlers. We were not able to do so, as the camera is the Commission or in the garage for most of the time we have owned.
In September 2003, after a total of about 15 hours in normal use, significant digital noise pixels / distortion and a head of "started cleaning required" message. Appear We followed the prescribed procedure and clean the video heads with a cleaning tape MiniDV. The problem is not resolved, so we were looking to repair the camera (up to $ 240). One of the drums, the supply and adoption coils reconstruction was performed by a JVC authorized service.
Since then we have recorded less than two hours of tape, and the problem of digital noise once more again. Some studies show that we are not the only ones who had difficulties withJVC Camcorder ours. As my difficulties, I found hundreds of consumer reviews that this and some other models of JVC camcorders and digital recorder DV interspersed with noise problems in digital offering.
I've never been satisfied with such a great ministry and I am currently looking for a full refund of JVC. Wish me luck.
Excellent camcorder – –
This is an excellent camcorder.
The 920U (the camera) is much better than the 720U/820U. Earlier versions had a constant buzz on the audio, which seemed to come from the DV tape engine. The 920U is very quiet and the sound is clear.
The video quality is much better, with brighter colors probably improved on the lens. (The colors were washed in 720U/820U and dull.) On the 920U, I could not tell much difference between real life and videos stored inwell-lit conditions. In addition, the viewfinder is in color, while the B & W viewfinder have 720U/820U.
Zoom is smooth and well positioned. The menu is easy to use. Overall, the camcorder's ergonomics are excellent.
The 3.5-inch LCD is very nice. I'm really addicted to this feature.

Wierd File Format – J. King – VA
This camera takes good videos and is easy to use. The main disadvantage is that the. MOD file format that the software supplied with the camera are downloaded. I have no other popular video software that recognizes. MOD format found. Now, I think the fact the software supplied with the camera have "seems RUN OUT like most demo software that comes with the hardware. Now, I either buy the "improved" version to download, or buy another device (another brand) JVChe was with me, never again!

great camera if you never intend to turn into a video. The problems of poor lighting in some other reviews mention, are worse than I thought. I applied the workaround discussed above, tried hundreds of combinations of mine, and followed the instructions of JVC, all without success. All videos shot indoors or in low light is grainy, blurry, dark, and the colors are wrong. I tried the device again on Amazon / J & R Music and JVC, but neither should itBack to the 30 days of return. I am extremely disappointed by this device. When put up next to a Sony camcorder VHS 5-year (a sample budget to) I is the quality of light produced low even worse than my old! It was a huge waste of money – do not buy.
