Canon Optura 50 camcorder – Truffaut451 – Bedford, TX
This is an excellent single-chip camcorder. They do not make more of it if you're willing to spend more than $ 2000. It has excellent automatic functions, but the value is in the manual control of shutter speed, aperture, standard / wide, white balance and audio. What makes this camera stand out features of today as consumer camcorder accessory shoe, microphone input, headphone output, and Top loading. great camera!
Great feature-set and performance for the price – Flashlight – Georgia, USA
The Optura 50 is certainly not perfect and there are a number of higher-priced cameras, to exceed it. However, what makes the feature set and performance for the price of 50 Optura excellent value.
The automatic white balance on the Optura 50 is easily fooled in tricky lighting conditions that rival cameras, so you often find themselves manually select a setting of white balance. This is not a big problem since the controls are easily accessible, but there is something to be aware of.Low light, this camera is not suitable because of the loud noise.
A more serious problem is that a minority of shares are higher than normal traffic bands. Several people, including myself to be for the exchange of cameras, much stronger than they would have been so. I heard bad person for two cameras in a row, but lost.

Last Canon purchase for a while… – Mike –
I have a number of Canon products (printer, camera, Rebel XT, PowerShot A40 …), and I'm ready. Their business model is being developed to keep you only to buy, and it makes me mad (for example, the printer works fine if you use quality paper and Canon has 6 ink tanks, only 3 of where I can find all the stores, so I am forced extra ink that I am not a "package" they need, then I get the photo cyan, I need to actually buy – a $ 70.
